A practical walkthrough
Use the public record to focus your next decision.
You can begin with a utility your team knows or a project you have just discovered. These are steps in your review, not a promise that every project follows a straight path.
- 01
Start with a project or public owner
Search a name or public identifier, browse Projects in Opportunities, or open an owner through Network. Review the owner's covered projects and recent activity when an existing account is your starting point.
- 02
Evaluate the opportunity
Read proposed scope, stage, funding position, procurement status, next milestone, and consequential unknowns. Check documented firms and contacts in their project-specific roles. Your team decides whether the work fits its capabilities and timing.
Stage, funding, and procurement are separate questions, not one readiness score.
- 03
Check the supporting evidence
Open the official passage behind an important amount, date, or decision. Compare confirmed facts with labeled interpretation, forecasts, and unresolved questions before using the record in an internal discussion.
- 04
Follow developments
When signed in, Watch a project, owner, firm, solicitation, or permit from its detail page. Your private Watchlist brings selected records into one queue. Use Signals to review material changes, then return to the underlying record when a new decision affects your view.
A project may advance, pause, change scope, or remain uncertain. Revisit your assessment when the evidence changes; a new document alone does not establish progress.
Between project reviews
Pick up the history where you left off.
The workspace connects discovery, investigation, and ongoing monitoring. Each view gives you a different way into the same reviewed records.
- Dashboard
- Scan meaningful movement, upcoming milestones, and activity that needs attention.
- Opportunities
- Browse Projects, formal Solicitations, Bid results, and Permits and approvals. An open request and an expected future event remain distinct.
- Network
- Investigate public Owners, private Firms, and published Contacts through documented roles and official appearances.
- Signals and Watchlist
- Use Signals for reviewed material changes and your private Watchlist for the records you chose to monitor.
The decision stays with your team
Prepare a better conversation or project review.
Use the evidence to update your account plan, discuss a potential partner, investigate further, or continue monitoring. Waterline IQ complements your relationships and existing systems; it does not assign pursuits, write proposals, estimate, or submit bids.
