The Awbrey Glen Pump Station is located on the Awbrey Glen Golf Course property at 2540 NW Champion Circle within an existing easement and Putnam Road right of way. The pump station processes approximately 120,000 gallons of sewage per day. The pump station was constructed in 1992, and improvements are needed to increase worker safety, comply with current code, and improve the efficiency of the pump station. The Westside Pump Station is located at 35 NW Portland Avenue and is one of the largest pump stations in Bend. It is immediately adjacent to the Deschutes River and conveys approximately 850,000 gallons of sewage per day. The pump station was originally constructed in 1980, with significant improvements completed in 2005. Additional improvements are needed to increase safety, reliability, and redundancy to improve worker safety and to prevent potential sanitary sewer overflows into the river. To improve resiliency and maintenance access of the existing 16” force main, the City is adding control valving, a pig port (used for force main cleaning), and the components to more easily bypass the force main in the case of emergency.
